Site Safety Guidelines

At Housekeeping 247 Ltd, maintaining a safe environment on all work sites is a top priority. These Site Safety Guidelines outline the key practices and responsibilities to ensure the safety of our employees, clients, contractors, and visitors.

1. Site Access and Security

  • Staff will always wear visible company identification badges and uniforms.

  • Access to client premises will be by prior arrangement and with appropriate permissions.

  • Where key-holding or alarm handling is required, staff follow strict protocols to maintain security.


2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Staff will use appropriate PPE depending on the job requirements, including gloves, masks, and protective clothing.

  • PPE is regularly inspected and replaced as needed to ensure effectiveness.


3. Hazard Identification and Reporting

  • All employees are trained to identify hazards such as slippery floors, exposed wiring, or hazardous substances.

  • Any unsafe condition or incident must be reported immediately to the site supervisor or management.


4. Safe Use of Equipment and Substances

  • Only trained personnel will operate machinery or cleaning equipment.

  • Chemicals and cleaning agents will be used according to manufacturer instructions and COSHH assessments.

  • Spillages will be managed promptly using approved procedures to prevent accidents.


5. Lone Working

  • When working alone, staff follow established lone working procedures, including regular check-ins and emergency contacts.

  • Risk assessments will consider lone working hazards and controls.


6. Emergency Procedures

  • Staff will familiarize themselves with the client site’s emergency exits, fire alarms, and assembly points.

  • First aid kits and trained personnel will be available either on site or from the client.

  • All accidents or near misses must be reported immediately.


7. Respect for Client Property and Privacy

  • Staff will exercise care and discretion when working in occupied premises.

  • Client property and information will be treated confidentially and respectfully.


8. Continuous Improvement

  • Feedback from staff and clients is welcomed to improve site safety practices.

  • Regular reviews of site safety procedures will be conducted.
