This policy outlines the behaviours, procedures, and standards expected of our operatives to ensure quality, safety, and professionalism in all environments.

1. Professional Conduct

All staff are expected to:

  • Arrive on time, in full uniform, with ID when required

  • Greet clients respectfully and conduct themselves courteously

  • Maintain confidentiality and respect for client privacy

  • Refrain from using personal devices during service delivery

  • Report any incidents, damage, or concerns immediately to management


2. Presentation & Uniform

  • Uniforms must be clean, presentable, and worn at all times

  • PPE (gloves, masks, overshoes, goggles) must be worn as required by the task

  • Hair must be tied back; jewellery should be minimal and safe

  • Operatives must carry a copy of their assignment instructions


3. Work Methodology

Our operatives follow structured, proven methods to maximise efficiency and hygiene:

  • Clean top to bottom, left to right, dry to wet

  • Use colour-coded cloths and mops to avoid cross-contamination

  • Adhere to task checklists and signed job sheets

  • Prioritise safety and client-specific requirements at all times


4. Product Use

  • Only approved, non-hazardous, COSHH-compliant products are used

  • Staff must always follow manufacturer dilution instructions

  • Spray directly onto cloths where appropriate to avoid airborne particles

  • Surfaces are tested where necessary to ensure compatibility


5. Equipment Care

  • Equipment must be checked before and after every use

  • Cords are to be managed to avoid trip hazards

  • All machines (vacuums, steamers, dip tanks etc.) are regularly serviced

  • Any faults or hazards must be reported and logged immediately


6. Client Property & Security

  • No personal belongings should be left on client premises

  • Doors must be locked and keys secured as instructed

  • Client property must not be moved unless agreed

  • Any valuables or findings are to be reported, never pocketed


7. Hygiene & Infection Control

  • Hands must be washed before and after each job, and gloves changed regularly

  • Particular care is taken when cleaning high-touch surfaces

  • Disposal of waste and cleaning of biohazards follows strict guidelines

  • Infection control procedures are updated in line with government guidance


8. Continuous Improvement

  • Feedback is actively sought from clients after each service

  • Supervisors perform regular site checks and audits

  • Staff undergo routine training refreshers and toolbox talks

  • Lessons learned from incidents or feedback are shared team-wide
